Your Appointment
To be ready for your installation, make sure that:
- All the electronics are in your home at the time of the installation.
- All low and high-voltage outlets are accessible, or you know where you want them installed.
- Someone 18 years or older will be present for the duration of the installation.
- All the equipment you already have (e.g., televisions, AV receivers, speakers) is available to the technician.
- Television sets and/or entertainment centers are at least three to five feet away from the wall.
- The installation generally takes between one and six hours.

Before The Appointment
It’s completely advised that you may want to pick up clothing, toys, and other personal items before we visit, but if you can’t get to them, we’ll get them out of the way for you.
Please let us know before your installation service if there is anything specific you want us to do/not do so that we can be prepared.
Installation Day Checklist
To know what to expect during your Multimedia Tech Home installation, please make sure you have the following ready before your appointment:
- Make sure the account holder or an authorized decision-maker on the account (age 18 years or older) is home for the entire installation (2-6 hours).
- Please contact us before the installation to add an authorized decision-maker to your account.
- The installer will help you design and customize your system to fit your family’s needs and educate you on the features of your new system.
- The installer will also ask you or your authorized decision-maker to assign a master code to arm and disarm your system if necessary.
- Be prepared to sign your service request. Either you or your authorized decision-maker (age 18 years or older) must be present to sign the service request completion form.
- Identify two emergency contacts. You or your authorized decision-maker (age 18 years or older) will need to provide two emergency contacts’ names and phone numbers.
- These contacts should be you and/or a family member or a trusted friend. The installer will set up your emergency contacts at the time of installation if necessary.

Pets
Most animals are not a problem so long as they are secured.
We advise that you please put large dogs and any lions or birds of prey in an area that is not being serviced.
Be Home
Yes. We need someone to let us in! preferably the person who placed the order.
If you choose to not be home, please let us know ahead of time if there is an access code to get to your home or business.

Certified Installers
All of our certified staff at Multimedia Tech have had on-the-job and industry certifications in electronic systems and product knowledge. Our supervisors have been trained personally by the owners of the company as well as attending accredited industry training courses. We believe the combination of industry and on-the-job training is the best possible preparation.
Staff is trained and supervised
All of the integrators have been extensively trained and are supervised by the supervisors on all jobs. If a team of integrators is required then a supervisor is allocated to this job. The supervisor is responsible for all the work done and all work is checked off by the supervisor before the client’s inspection.
Finished on schedule

Our supervisors and installers are issued with the industry’s very best concerning the type of equipment they use and install for every occasion.
Unless you have a special type of brand or a particular product you want us to use, we will only use high-quality equipment to ensure the safety of you and your family.

Additional Charges
Multimedia Tech installers will provide an estimate to you before performing work that requires an additional charge.
Additional charges, fees, and expenses may apply to provide services beyond 25 miles from the store location where you placed the order for installation services.
Payments for additional charges: C.O.D. payable by credit or personal check.
3rd Party Services
Multimedia Tech recommends that for best results the customers should schedule the installation of cable, internet, or satellite service before the arrival of your Multimedia Tech installer.
Responsibility
Multimedia Tech installers will not be held responsible for moving any furniture or valuables.
Workforce Safety
To ensure the health and safety of our employees, Multimedia Tech reserves the right to refuse or reschedule work due to unsafe conditions, which include, without limitation, extreme temperatures, natural disasters, or the existence of other hazards. real or perceived.
When a TV is being hauled away for disposal, some TVs may require additional equipment or personnel to safely remove them, resulting in a delay or rescheduling of the haul-away service and may result in additional charges.
Installation Authorization
The customer understands that someone at least 18 years of age must be present at all times on the day of the installation to approve all work.
Labor Only
Installations do not include any parts or accessories
For example:
Wire, cable, speaker mounts, or similar parts.
Disclaimer
Multimedia Tech shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to any cause beyond its control.
If the Multimedia Tech installer’s ability to render services is impaired by the customer’s failure to cooperate or circumstances beyond the control of Multimedia Tech.
Multimedia Tech may choose not to provide services.
Lath And Plaster
Multimedia Tech cannot warrant that installations involving lath and plaster walls will not result in cracks in the wall.
Multimedia Tech will do everything in its power to eliminate the possibility.
But due to the nature of the type of construction, you agree that Multimedia Tech will not be responsible for any resulting damage to your wall.
Cancellations
We understand plans can change, so we’ve created a cancellation policy that’s super flexible for our customers and supports our internal operations.
Early notification of cancellation means we can offer our services to someone else in your city.
You may cancel or change your appointment up to 24 hours in advance.
If you want to cancel your appointment within less than 24 hours notice, please contact our customer service to see if the service can be canceled or rescheduled without any charges.

Note: Multimedia Tech accepts cancellations made by phone or Live Chat during normal store hours within 30 minutes of the order being placed.
Any cancellation requests made outside of normal business hours or after the allotted cancellation time will not be accepted.
Customers requesting cancellation by phone will receive a confirmation email, which must be replied to complete the cancellation.
Customers requesting cancellation by phone should remember to add Multimedia Tech to their email address book, contacts, or safe list to prevent the confirmation email from being sent to Spam.
Order Changes
We know things that happen in life are always changing and it is understandable that you may need to make some changes to your work order.

Refunds

Not Eligible For Cancellation
Any order not canceled within 30 minutes of ordering. Any order not canceled during Multimedia Tech’s normal business hours.
Any order canceled via answering machine message- cancellations must be requested through direct communication with a Multimedia Tech Customer Service representative.
Any service order that has been already completed by our service technicians. Or any equipment that has been already installed.
Services are NOT eligible for a refund:
Not limited to:
TV installations of any kind.
Projector and projection screen installations of any kind.
Remote control programming.
Furniture assembly services.
Whole audio and video installations.
Low voltage wiring installations.
Motorized shade installations.
Lighting control installations.
Home network and cloud services.
If for any reason, equipment was not installed properly or you received the wrong installation service due to an error on Multimedia Tech’s part, contact Multimedia Tech Customer Service within 10 days of receiving the wrong service for a reschedule that allows us to serve you accordingly.
Multimedia Tech issues exchanges for defective items, no refunds. Multimedia Tech DOES NOT ISSUE REFUNDS PARTIALLY OR AS WHOLE ON SERVICES.
Returns
Multimedia Tech accepts returns of most non-defective, non-custom-order items within ten days (10 days) of delivery for a 45% restocking fee, plus any shipping and handling fees.
To begin the return process, please contact Multimedia Tech Customer Service. Returned items are eligible for either exchange or refund (customer’s choice).
If an exchange product is requested, the customer will still be billed the applicable shipping and restocking fees for the returned item and any shipping fees for the new exchange item.
Custom order items, such as made-to-order theater seats, couches, and licensed sports team items may be returned for a 50% restocking fee, plus shipping and handling fees.
Our Quick Ship Palliser home theater seats do not qualify as custom-order products and may be returned for the 30% restocking fee.
If you received free shipping with your purchase, the shipping fees originally covered by Multimedia Tech will be deducted from your refund or billed to your account if you are requesting an exchange.
Non-defective returns must be returned in the original packaging, including all papers such as instructions or warranties, and must be in new, unused condition.
Not Eligible For Returns
Not limited to:
SPECIAL ORDER ITEMS.
Any product that has been used, installed, or modified after shipping from Multimedia Tech.
Any product not in complete original packaging.
Any product not returned within the 10-day return period.
Food products, including popcorn packs, flavored syrups, and cotton candy sugar floss.
Carpet, personalized wall signs, and acoustic wall panels.
Clearance items.
Services are NOT eligible for return
Items not purchased from Multimedia Tech.
Defective Or Incorrect Products
If for any reason you receive an item that is damaged, or you receive the wrong item due to an error on Multimedia Tech’s part, contact Multimedia Tech Customer Service within 10 days of receiving the defective item for a replacement.
Multimedia Tech issues exchanges for defective items, no refunds. Upon contacting Customer Service about a defective item, you will be issued an RMA number, to be included with the defective item being exchanged. Multimedia Tech will cover all shipping costs for defective items.
If you do not contact Customer Service within 10 days of receiving the defective item, the return will be treated as a warranty issue. It will not be accepted as a defective item return.
Not Eligible For Defective Product Returns
Any return not requested within 10 days after delivery of the product. Any item that is not damaged or defective, or does not constitute an error on Multimedia Tech’s part.
Clearance items (all clearance items are sold as-is, no returns). Services are NOT eligible for return Items not purchased from Multimedia Tech.
Note: Multimedia Tech will not issue refunds or exchanges until after receiving the item being returned.
This includes made-to-order items such as theater seats, couches, and licensed sports team products that typically take two weeks to ship; Multimedia Tech will not place the order for the replacement until the item being exchanged has been received.
Warranty Information
Multimedia Tech provides easy exchanges for any damaged or defective products (excludes clearance items).
In addition, many of our products are also covered by a Manufacturer’s Warranty.

Shipping And Delivery
Multimedia Tech ships anywhere in the contiguous United States, as well as to Hawaii, Alaska, and international locations.
Contact Customer Service for additional information about shipping to areas outside the contiguous United States.
Many of our furniture products are also eligible for White Glove Delivery.
Any items eligible for White Glove Delivery will be offered when you add the qualifying items to your cart.
Out of Stock And Backorder
In rare cases, some items may be on backorder or out of stock. If an item in your order is on backorder or out of stock, you will be contacted immediately and provided the option of changing or canceling your order without any fees or penalties (excludes custom orders).
Sales Tax
Multimedia Tech is required by law to collect sales tax on orders shipped anywhere in Texas.
If your order qualifies for sales tax, the correct charges will be automatically added to your purchase total and displayed on the shipping and payment page during checkout, after you have entered your shipping address.
Although we are not required to collect tax on orders shipped to other states, some states require shoppers to file sales/use tax annually on any items ordered online or by other remote means.
These sales/use taxes apply to any taxable item that did not have tax automatically removed by the retailer at the time of purchase.
We recommend that all our customers check with their local tax authorities to determine if their purchases require sales/use tax to be filed.

Credit Card Charge
Your credit card will be charged as soon as your order is placed. When purchasing custom orders with American Express, your card will be charged 85% when the order is placed and the remaining 15% when it is shipped.
In case your order requires custom installation of any kind and you were not charged 60% when your order was placed, your credit card may be charged until the installation is complete and approved by the customer.
Please note, custom electronics with a value of $1000 or more will be charged immediately when the order is placed and the remaining balance for installation will be charged when the installation is complete.
